LED display, also called electronic display, is composed of LED dot matrix and LED PC panel. It displays text, pictures, animations, videos and content by turning on and off red, blue, white and green LED lights. It uses a low-voltage scanning driver and has the following characteristics: low power consumption, long service life, low cost, high brightness, few faults, large viewing angle, and long viewing distance.
It can display changing text, graphic images, numbers, and videos; it can be used not only in indoor environments but also in outdoor environments. It has advantages that LCD screens, projectors, and TV walls cannot match. It is also widely used in stations, docks, airports, hotels, banks, securities markets, construction markets, taxation, shopping malls, hospitals, finance, industry and commerce, post and telecommunications, sports, advertising, factories and mines, transportation, education systems, auction houses, industrial enterprise management, and other public places.
The reason why LED display has received widespread attention and developed rapidly is inseparable from its own advantages. It has the following characteristics: high brightness, miniaturization, long life, low operating voltage, low power consumption, stable performance and impact resistance. The LED display has a vivid colors and a strong three-dimensional sense. It is as quiet as an oil painting and dynamic as a movie. The development prospects of LED are extremely broad. It is currently moving towards higher brightness, higher weather resistance, higher luminous density, and higher Luminous uniformity, reliability, and full-color development.
The LCD splicing screen adopts the splicing method of LCD display units and uses the splicing control software system to achieve a large-screen display effect. Currently, common splicing methods include 5.3mm 55-inch ultra-narrow-edge LCD splicing screen, 6.7mm 46-inch ultra-narrow-edge LCD splicing screen, 47-inch LCD splicing, 60-inch LCD splicing wall and 40-inch narrow-edge LCD splicing system.
Compared with TV and PC LCD screens, LCD splicing screens have higher brightness. The brightness of TV or PC LCD screens is generally only 250~300cd/m2, while the brightness of DID LCD screens can reach more than 700cd/m2. Because each point of LCD always maintains that color and brightness after receiving the signal, unlike CRT, which needs to constantly refresh the pixel points. Therefore, the LCD has uniform brightness, high picture quality and absolutely no flicker, making the picture more delicate when viewed at a close distance.

6. The backlight LED display uses light-emitting diodes, while the LCD splicing screen uses cold cathode ray tubes. In terms of price, LCD is cheaper.
So choosing between the two products depends on your scope of use and requirements. LCD is a liquid crystal screen with relatively low brightness, suitable for indoor viewing within ten meters. It is mostly used in monitoring centers or video conferencing. LED is composed of countless light-emitting diodes with a large dot pitch. It is suitable for viewing outdoors or at a distance.
